Myofascial Release with tennis balls

Another way we can get big shifts in our movement pattens is through myofascial release. Using two tennis balls and a yoga belt we can do incredible bodywork on ourselves. It can have a huge impact on tension and pain, Learn how to weave this through your yin classes giving you and your students a deeper level of connection and understanding of your body and your practice. We will look at this in relation to Anatomy Trains lines

Myofascial Release with Yoga Belts

Making yin yoga accessible and comfortable to all can be tricky if you’re working with minimal props. In this session we will look at what you can do with just a yoga strap. So many very easy but effective ways to use straps in your yin yoga practice and teaching. The belts can give deep levels of holding which can be integrating (especially great for hyper mobile students) and releasing.

We will cover:

Module One: Yin Yoga and Neuroscience
Module Two: Yin Yoga and Myofascial Release with tennis balls and yoga belts

Certificate

On completion of both modules (Yin & Neuroscience + Yin & Myofascial Release) you will get a certificate: Yin Yoga Level 2 (Yoga Alliance, 24 hrs)

The hours can be registered as continuing education (YACEP) or you can use the hours towards your 300 hour teacher training with The Shala London (Level 2, RYT-500 Yoga Alliance)

Course material

You'll receive a course manual as a PDF and a video library a couple of days before the course starts. Please let us know if you'd like the course manual in both English and Swedish as well. 

Who can join?

We ask that you’ve covered yin in your level one teacher training. It doesn’t have to have been with us

What happens if I miss a session?

The course will not be recorded, but don’t worry, it's all in the manual!

  • If you miss half a day or less, you can easily catch up by reviewing the material in the manual or by joining another group at a later date free of charge.

  • If you miss more than half a day, you can make it up with a future group for an admin fee of £50.

This course can give you YACEP hours or count towards your 300 Hours teacher training with The Shala

What if I have to miss a session?

If you miss half a day or less, you can easily catch up by reviewing the material in the manual or by joining another group at a later date free of charge.

If you miss more than half a day, you can make it up with another  group for an admin fee of £30 per day.

Can I repeat the course?

If you’ve already done a course with us and would like to repeat it:

  • In most cases, you can attend online courses for just an admin fee (see prices below).

  • In-person courses are available at a discounted price. Please contact us for the exact details for each course.

Admin Fees for Repeating Online Courses:

  • 1-day courses: £30

  • 2-day courses: £40

  • 3-day courses: £50
