Level I Ashtanga and Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and Practitioner Intensive with Melanie Cooper and Norman Blair 

This seven-month teacher training programme is designed to be a practitioner’s intensive as well as a training in the basics of teaching yoga. Our focus will be working with Ashtanga Vinyasa and Yin Yoga as tools for teaching and practicing. We will also look in depth at other practices, such as meditation, yoga nidra, pranayama, chanting and bhajans.

  • Spaces limited to twelve
  • Taught by two teachers with more than 30 years of yoga teaching experience between them

Level II Teacher Training Course: Deepening Practice and Developing Self-Encouraging Sustainability in You and Your Students

This course is certified at 300 hours by Yoga Alliance US which allows participants at the end of the YTT to apply for 500 YA (on condition that applicants have requisite number of teaching hours). 

Becoming a yoga teacher is an ongoing journey. This Level Two YTT is an opportunity to go deeper into our practice, explore more possibilities and develop our skills as teachers. 

Melanie and Norman “are passionate that a Level One is not enough and that Level Two trainings are really needed. Our unique Level Two training will help you to become a better teacher: more confident, more knowledgeable, clearer”. 

  • Spaces limited to twelve
  • Taught by two teachers with more than 30 years of yoga teaching experience between them
  • 39 days in total, spread out over the course of a year from November 2016 to November 2017
  • A number of external teachers sharing their specialised knowledge and expertise.
  • Experience in live classes

  • Emphasis on encouragement and growth through learning, assisting and listening
  • Each participant receives three one-hour private sessions 
  • Optional extras at discounted prices: adjustment workshops, cadaver and anatomy learning experience, philosophy discussion groups, chanting/kirtan.
