Anatomy is the study of the human body - In this course Melanie and Stu will share anatomy in a way that is accessible, fun and grounded in your yoga practice. We will look at forward bends, back bends, hips and shoulders covering the theory but also focusing on you actually feeling it in your body. We will look at the basic skeletal structure, the main muscles - how they work and how they interact and how this can affect your yoga practice. We will look at stability, mobility and functional movement.
You will learn about anatomy in relation to
how to sequence intelligently
how to help your students when they meet their physical challenges.
